Fremont Art Walk + Yo Mama’s so rad!

Mother’s Day is this Sunday (um, in case you hadn’t heard)—have you scored a gift for her yet? Just in the door here are three new and completely different jewelry lines that would get the most important woman in your life right in her heart.

Kirstin Ash’s lovely necklaces and lockets come all the way to us from Syndey, Australia. Featuring buzzing bees or whimsical dragonflies, these are sweet as a summer’s day and great for mommies. Or there’s the fanciful Make a Wish Birds Ring, which is adjustable, so no need to worry about size!

For the mother who gave you all your best qualities and taught you to seize life by the cojones, be faithful and true and spread love to everyone you meet, Pyrrha’s wax seal pendants let her know that you know it. Made from reclaimed sterling silver by a Vancouver, B.C. duo, their 19th Century casting designs carry symbolic messages like Carpe Diem, Fidelitas and Vita.

And if yours is the mom who is totally too cool to be a mom, she’ll go bananas for the mixed metal earrings from Portland artist Paper Wings.

Finally, don’t forget about the Fremont Artwalk tomorrow! We’ll be participating in these lively First Fridays all Spring and Summer long with discounts, wine and special events. This week we’re very excited to feature the wonderful, whimsical collage art of Erica Maule of My Chloe Flower (which happens to be very mom-appropriate as well!). Her work is affordable and oh-so charming. We’d love for you to come meet her in person from 6-9 p.m. in the shop tomorrow evening. See you then!
