Happy New Year!!!

2008 has been the crazy year of all crazy years! I closed Olivine after 11 years, which was exciting and sad...like saying goodbye to a dear friend. Then I opened Show Pony just 2 weeks after that. Then I moved Show Pony just 2 months after that! Closing Olivine and leaving Ballard may have been sad...But opening Show Pony and moving to Fremont has been thrilling! Kind of like that feeling you get when you are 16 and you meet a cute boy that you think you might kiss. I love it!
I am so grateful to each and every one of my customers that have followed me to Show Pony, as well as all of my new customers that have just found me. I am so excited for 2009, more clothes, the vintage loft will be opening upstairs shortly, and who know what else will happen!
Most importantly, our winter sale starts this Friday, January 2nd. 10% of all sales on Friday will go to Pasado Safe Haven (www.pasadosafehaven.org). All winter clothes, shoes, accessories and beauty will be 30-70% off. Fantastic!
Have a happy and safe new year!

These Creatures

These might just possibly be my favorite items in the store right now. I mean seriously, could they be any cuter? I would have to call them more of a piece of art than a dog/cat feeder! Each piece is custom made in Seattle, you choose your design and color. I just ordered the Bernese Mountain Dog for myself and I can't wait to see it in my kitchen!
Since they are custom made they say to allow up to 3 weeks for delivery. I know they are extremely busy for the holidays, so I would get an order in soon! Prices range from $155-$275. You can go to www.thesecreatures.com to see all of their designs!

Luxe

I know I have posted about this amazing jewelry designer before, but we can't keep her jewelry in stock and I figured it might be time to revisit...
Luxe is made in Scotland using a combination a vintage and new pieces. The prices are insanely good and these will go fast!

The focal point of this dreamy necklace is a hand wired pendant created using vintage rhinestones, filigree, flower petals, a tiny Swarovski pearl, and delicate brass leaves. The pendant is hung asymmetrically from a coppery hued brass link chain, doubled up in the middle with a hand wrapped strand of glass pearls and crystals. The necklace measures 20" long, with the longer strand hanging down a further inch or so. All materials are vintage except for the brass wire used to wrap and the glass pearls & crystals.
$118.

Lovely vintage Indian metal drops are inscised with a golden pattern, and sit behind golden brass sparrows. Hung on gold plated leverback wires, length from the tops of the wires is just under 2".
$46.

Beautiful golden brass sparrows are connected by a glittering rhinestone bauble, and are trailed by a string of delicate vintage brass leaves. The vintage leaves have intricate detail, are hand wrapped to clear Swarovski crystals, and attached to vintage fine cable chain, cut on the angle for a pretty sparkle. The necklace measures 16.5" long.
$72.

Juliette Has A Gun

Check out this month's Vogue magazine for an article about this perfumeur. His name is Romano Ricci and he is the great-grandson of Nina Ricci. This guy (besides being hot!) is taking over in the perfume world. His first 2 fragrances are absolutely amazing. Miss Charming is based on Moroccan Rose and it is seductively sweet. Lady Vengeance is based on Bulgarian Rose, with notes of Vanilla and Musk...making it "darker and angrier".
They come in 2 sizes. 1.7 oz is $85. 3.3 oz is $110.
We have just sold out of the large size in Miss Charming, but we have more on the way!

Everyone here is truly smitten with Clementine!
If it's good enough for Scarlett and Lindsey, then it is good enough for us!

A true white flower fragrance that stands out as clean and fresh. It is composed of flowering orange blossoms with a hint of honeysuckle and night blooming jasmine.

The fragrance originated from Ms. Flagg's desire to capture a childhood memory of driving to the Palm Springs area from Los Angeles, as the wonderful scents of orange blossoms and night blooming jasmine permeated the air.

From WWD Beauty Biz:

"Lindsey Lohan, Michelle Trachtenberg and Scarlett Johansson have taken a liking to Clementine."
