Move Over Meat Dress + $250 Shopping Spree!

Show Pony will feature clothing for a whole different taste at this year’s Solstice Fair when it hosts Seattle chef Tiberio Simone who will be accessorizing live models with food on Show Pony’s patio Sunday, July 19th from 3 to 6 p.m.

Chef Simone’s edible-art exhibit celebrates the release of his new book La Figa: Visions of Food & Form.  Melding memoir, essay, art and recipes, the book’s elegant and tasteful images are the culmination of a five-year collaboration between the James Beard Award-winner and Seattle photographer Matt Freedman. Using the human body as his canvas, and natural fresh ingredients as both paint and adhesives, Simone’s art is inspired by “a lifetime of loving food. Food is love, touch is affection, food and touch are the basic ingredients of life,” pronounces Simone who calls himself a “pleasure activist.”  Show Pony is one of the few Seattle retail outlets with advance copies of La Figa for sale and on Sunday you can meet Tiberio and get a signed copy!

Also, we are doing it again Ladies (and gents)! - This time it's called the "Thumbs Up" contest and a $250 shopping spree is at stake. We're trying to get to a 1000 "Likes" on Facebook. Spread the word!
